Three Attempts Later...........and the specs saga!

Afternoon blogging buddies!

Hey, guess what....I can actually see the screen!!!!  I got my glasses sorted out, at last.

When I had my eyes tested I told the optician that my monitor is more than arms length from me as I sit at my desk, I quite clearly remember telling her that, so why did they make the lenses to see at 18 inches away!  Doesn't anyone ever listen these day?

Well anyway, to cut a long story short, they have now done the lenses for a mitre away, anymore that that and apparently we're into the realms of distance glasses, these are supposed to be mid-distance.

I brought them home with some trepidation I have to say, hardly daring to switch the old hurdy gurdy on to see if it was still a blurry mass, so anyway, I got myself comfy, and lo and behold, there's the screen, clear as a bell!

So success at last, and relatively good vision descends upon my craft work yet again, but how much easier it would have been if only they could have managed it the first time, I don't know, we're up against it these days I can tell 'ya!

So onto crafting.....

This card, has been a right pain in the you know what!

This is the third one I have made, I just wasn't happy with the first two attempts, don't know why, DH thought they were both nice, but, they were not quite how I envisioned it, so in the bin they went!

I'm relatively happy with this one, so what's your verdict on it? (see, I'm still not sure LOL)

As usual, challenges and card recipe below, thanks for dropping by and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Glad to hear you got your goggles sorted Jacee. :) I don't know what your two rejects looked like - I'm sure they were fab but this one is magnificent. Love all the beautifully crafted detail. x

Oh wow Jacee, this is glorious, such beautifully vibrant colours and perfect to brighten a day dismal day weather wise.

And pleased you got your glasses sorted but aren't they a pain in the rear, I now need close, mid and long distant ones so have each in a separate colours. The theory is, no that is was, I would know which were for which. Do I remember, of course not !

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Hi Jacee,
oh wow I love this superb card.
What fab colours and your design is fantastic.
A superbly stunning creation.
I did laugh at your writing of your post as my DH and I are always saying does nobody listen to you these days.
He also says that we become invisible over a certain age as peeps just walk into you as if your not there.
When I went for my glasses for the computer, and reading DH took measurements from my desk to the computer screen, and luckily enough they were right.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Now on to your card, Well It's just so gorgeous I can't think what it is that you're not sure about, I love the colours and the layout is so pretty. Those digital papers are divine, I will definitely be looking those up on the net. Hope the coming week goes well for you.

I just can't imagine what's not to love about this card, Jacee! It's spectacular in both design and color and it's bound to be treasured by your DIL!!

BTW, the same thing just happened to me with my glasses! My monitor is a couple of arms away and I told them, but no. It's frustrulating when professional services don't listen to the important facts involved!! Hugs, Darnell

Glad to hear that your glasses have been sorted out now - I hate that when you try them on at the opticians you get about ten seconds to decide if they're okay! Your card is stunning, I love the colours and all of those gorgeous elements.

So happy to hear your new 'eyes' are working properly - finally. It's so discouraging when you have to pay out so much money, and then return again & again to get things right. Your card is lovely with all the brilliant colors. Love that it is an easel card, has that rich purple combined with the spring greens & pink tones. Lovely textures & interests to draw the eye right around to enjoy each element. Your DIL will love it and that special tag was such a sweet touch. TFS & have a great week.

Oh! recognise these papers aren't they a joy to work with, you must say yes! after the result here, it is amazing, love love love it. Love that bow too.

As for your eyes, ah! yes that's all it is these days, no one listens. My BIL complained about his new specs as he couldn't see, he was told to wait to get used to them and come back in 2 weeks, he said he couldn't see to walk out of the shop. The Manager was called and turned his finger to the side of his head to my SIL, signing that BIL was losing himself! I will say where as it was disgraceful service, it was Boots. Eventually he was examined by someone else a week later and they apologised and said they were wrong!
