Sassy Lady!

Afternoon blogging buddies!

Well apart from essential stuff I've had to do today, ie, prepare some grub for our dinner later on, a touch of housework, and I do mean, 'a touch', I'm here in my 'den,' and that's exactly where I'm staying for the rest of the day!

Now I know that might sound lazy but I'm resting up today (that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it) because yesterday we had a day out on our bikes.

We had a trip out to the Wirral, all along the promenade for about 7 miles. Now me and DH usually do more miles than that when we go there, probably about 11 or 12, something like that, but we had our grandson with us with his little bike, so to do 7 miles with a 4 year old was pretty good going I think.

He did so well bless his heart, and he loved it, he kept saying 'I like it here grandma, it's good fun'.

We had some lunch along the way, he had an ice cream (I managed to resist) he had a couple of rides on the funfair and we collected some shells off the beach, so he was a busy lad.

He was definitely wilting on the ride back to the car, but he kept on pedaling, bless him.
I was sure he would fall asleep on the way home, it's a good journey back so he'd have had plenty of time for a little kip, but no, he did his usual when he's in the car, chatter and a million questions!

He had his tea when we got back and played with his toys, wish I had half his energy!

We could only truly relax when we'd taken him home, we had a lovely day and I know he enjoyed it which makes me a very happy grandma, so today........I'm recovering!

So on to crafting....

Oh this is a bright & sassy lady! Love those hot pinks & vibrant purples. Do you have the red hat ladies in the UK? Of course your Miss is not wearing a red hat, but she's got the pink & purple down great. Love all the borders, ribbons and pretty papers, and this is a really fun card. I'm tired just reading that ya'll rode that far, and amazed at the grandson being able to go that distance at such a young age. He sounds very athletic, so that ice cream won't be bothering his weight! Glad you had a fun time, and could enjoy some quality time with your grand, and also got a good restup today. TFS & Hugs
